Eclipse Theatre and Sheffield Theatres bring an American classic to the stage!
You’ve seen The Fresh Prince and The Cosby Show – now meet the family who started it all in One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show.
The Harrisons are the most respectable middle-class Black family in Philadelphia. But the arrival of their young niece and her new ideas from the rural South, turns their polite, Christian, suburban life on its head.
Funny and outrageous, One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show is a timeless comedy about how hard we try to hide who we really are. Starring award-winning actor and comedian Jocelyn Jee Esien (3 Non Blondes, Little Miss Jocelyn, Anuvahood,) Roger Griffiths (The Posse, Chef!) and Daniel Francis, who played the lead role in Eclipse Theatre’s acclaimed production of The Hounding of David Oluwale.

Praise for previous Eclipse Theatre Productions:SUS – ‘ The performances are faultless and the action queasily authentic. […] Frighteningly effective.‘
